Casa AliBri is nestled in the green hills of the Sierra Nevada, located 3 km up from the main road (La Troncal del Caribe) and just 4 km away from the surf beach.
Because we are hidden in nature, regular cars cannot access the hill road to our house; only 4x4 vehicles and motorcycles can drive up. The main and most fun way to move around the area is by mototaxi!
How to get here by bus:
If you are traveling from Santa Marta, simply head to the city's Mercado Público (Public Market) and catch an intermunicipal bus heading toward Palomino (please note the last bus leaves around 18:00 / 6 PM). Tell the driver to drop you off at the "tienda de Mendihuaca". From there, you can easily take a local mototaxi for 15,000 COP. In just 10 minutes, riding just past the beautiful Enchanted Pool (Poza Encantada), you will arrive at our paradise!
Community Fee:
Please note there is a local community fee of 8,000 COP per person to enter the Mendihuaca area. This fee goes directly to support the local village. Make sure to keep your ticket and show it whenever you go in and out to avoid paying again.

Is breakfast included?
Yes!
Do you have wifi?
Yes we have satellite wifi and solar panels for electricity, so even when other hotels in the area have no electricity (and therefore no wifi) we remain connected usually. The wifi is strong enough to send & receive emails, send large image files (12MB), however online voice and video calls may lag or suffer delays, and are sometimes cut off.
Do you welcome pet dogs?
We have 3 dogs and 3 cats here, so another doggy guest could be quite upsetting for the animals who already live here.
Where can I eat dinner?
We offer dinner 7 nights per week. There is always a Vegetarian and a Meat / Fish option!
